The Bingo World Championship 2007

The Bingo World Championship 2007 event took place on 15 th April, 2007. Sponsored for the 6th consecutive year by togel Entertainment NV, this is one of the most highly anticipated events in online bingo. Only matched by the Bingo Cruise annual event, of which Bingo Entertainment are platinum sponsors.

At 8pm EST, 120 players from all areas of the world, who had won qualifying heats on the Bingo Entertainment sites, gathered for this great event. CM Michelle was kept busy in chat with the players, answering any questions they had, and scattering lucky dust. There was a flurry of gl’s sent over chat (gl means good luck), as the major event of the year got under way.

Consisting of 23 bingo games, all 120 players would participate in each game, there would be no eliminations. The first 10 games had a prize of $100, and the winner would be the first to get any straight line. The next 5 games had a prize of $200, again for any straight line.

Then it was time for players favourite, the blackout! 4 games for $300, then it goes up to $400 for the next two games. The penultimate game had a prize of $1000, and then the grand final held a prize of $5000.

So how did the players fare? Game one for $100 was won by Trudy_bm. The next 4 games saw players Hogge, Mini36, Laluna_mq, and Nazanin, each take $100 prize. Reba2706 and Cilla_pr hit a straight line on the very same number in game 6, so the prize is split. The chat was still buzzing, and there was an endless stream of wtg’s whizzing up the chat screen (wtg means way to go), and more lucky dust from CM Michelle.

Game 7 went to Celebrian, but then in game 8 players Eje428 and bubies got a straight line on the same number, another shared prize, but there are no bad feelings in this game, everyone is friendly and happy for other’s wins.

Games 9 to 15 were won by bingodilla, jewel2_bm, hogge, ornurse_bm, blaze_ms, bibber_em, and prubrat.

By now the excitement is at fever pitch. Its time for blackouts! Winning $300 on the next games were Trudy_bm the winner of the first game, bingodilla who won game 9, slyna_ms, and then its bingo bingo bingo bingo as 4 players get a blackout on the same number. Sugarnet, Reba, Bingomasa, and jewel2_bm all split the prize, and wtg!

Its not only the excitement that is rising, the prizes are too, the next 2 games are for $400! Prubrat takes the first, and then shakev and sterling split the next. Now the penultimate game for $1000. Sayrd gets the blackout, but in more ways then one, as her electricity fails during a storm, at this precise moment she does not see the wtg’s from the other players, nor does she know that she has just won $1000, but she’ll be back.

The final, 120 players, all hoping to get that grand prize of $5000, as well as the esteem of becoming the Bingo World Champion 2007. More lucky dust from CM Michelle, gl’s flying off the screen, could this be the cause of Sayrd’s storm, and resulting power failure?!

As all eyes are on the final game, some players clutching on to lucky mascots, others being egged on by family, the final ball is called, and 2 players get a bingo and share $5000! Ornurse_bm and squamish are the joint Bingo World Champions 2007. WTG!

Bingo Entertainment were once again very proud to sponsor such a prestigious online event. Watch out for news on forthcoming events on www.bingoentertainment.com/news.htm Thanks to all players for participating and making it such an exciting and amazing event.

Trudy_bm, from Indiana USA, was the first winner of the event. She won $100 on a straight line, and then went on to win game 16, winning $300 on a blackout. I asked her if she had felt excited or maybe nervous at the start of the event. She said “excited and anxious to get to playing!” Trudy_bm is one of the many players who like to keep a lucky mascot whilst playing online bingo, and being as she qualified for the event, and went on to win 2 games, there must be something in keeping a mascot. Trudy_bm said when asked what mascot she keeps; “I had my “Dude” from Mega Nickel Bingo!” And how did she feel when she realized she had won? “I really couldn’t believe it, but was very happy.” I asked her now that she has experienced playing and winning in the Bingo World Championship, does she think it’s a good thing for Bingo Entertainment to do? “Yes, it is a really great way to reward us players who play continually with your gaming sites!” And how would she be spending her winnings? “I am going to purchase additional things I need for our home.” Did she have any advice for other hopeful players who did not manage to qualify for the finals? Her advice was “Really need to play and qualify!”

Mini36, from New York, USA, won $100 on a straight line in game 3. She admits to being “Very excited, I was there for 7 hours before it started lol!” Another lucky mascot holder, mini36 said “I had my bubba doll sitting with me.” And did she chat much with other players “Oh yes… non stop, look at the chat log lol!” And how did it feel to win?

“I couldn’t believe it, then on the $5000 game, I needed O72. Like 4 O’s came out, but not mine… I was dying lol” Asked if she would like to see Bingo Entertainment sponsor the Bingo World Championship again next year, she said “Yes I would. I have to say you all do a great job!” And what will mini36 do with her winnings? “LOL…probably deposit it when I get it.” Did she have any advice for other hopeful players who did not manage to qualify for the finals? “Yes I do, Guys? U have to make it next year, it was fun & exciting, so get ya buns to work and start playing so U can join us next year!!!

Cilla_pr from Belmont USA, shared $100 with another player on game 6. She admits to being excited about the event, although she doesn’t keep a lucky mascot. Did she chat a lot throughout the games to other players? “No I wished ev1 gl in the beginning and wtg when someone won but I like to concentrate.” With her winnings she will buy some new clothes. And her message to other BWC hopefuls? “Just keep trying to qualify. It’s fun and exciting to play and something to look forward to!”

Game 8 was shared by 2 players;

Eje428 from Tennessee USA, is a third time BWC qualifier. She said had been “excited” and did a lot of chatting. She was “really thankful” for her winnings, and would “take hubby out to dinner with it.” Her message to other hopefuls is “keep trying its a blast.”

Bubies from British Colombia Canada, also shared the prize of game 8. She said there was only one way to describe how she felt about the event; “Excited, Fantastic, Great!” Bubies likes to chat with other players, commenting; “Lots of chat with roomies, some I had not seen for a long time so it was absolutely great”. And how did it feel to win? “Excited and in shock, didn’t think I stood a chance of winning anything.” And would she do it all again? “BE should do it again absolutely, would I compete again, absolutely, took me 7 years to get here this time, do it again too!” And to other players bubies says “Other players I just tell them keep on trying think positive, if I can do it so can you and have fun at the same time, with a great bunch of people.”

Reba from Florida USA, was one of the 2 male winners. He shared his win on game 19 with 3 other players who all got the blackout on the same number. Ken says he was feeling “tired” when the event started. He didn’t go on to clarify why. Asked if he chats much with the other players, and were they aware that there were male players amongst many women players he said “I didn’t chat much and most already know I am a male player.” Ken will be paying bills with his winnings.

Shakev from Nova Scotia Canada shared a $400 win with one other player on game 21. She says she was “A bit excited” And relating to her win she said she was “Very happy I got something”. And what would she be doing with her winnings? “I am going to Disney World in a few weeks so extra spending money.” What were her thoughts on BE continuing to sponsor the BWC? “It seems to work quite well I have participated a few years now.” And any message of encouragement to other hopefuls? “Keep playing bingo!”

Sayrd from New York USA probably had the most frustrating experience of the BWC, even though she did come out winning $1000. Here’s her version of the BWC events;

“Just before the championship started I was feeling anxious and just holding tight to the positive attitude I try and live by. Winning to me is only a big bonus to the enjoyment of playing. But how I felt mostly before the start was nervous, because we were having a Major snow storm here and the lights were flickering and I was just praying that the electric did not go out until the end of the tourney. I didn’t have any kind of a mascot or lucky charm. I believe if you are meant to win then you will and if you don’t, tomorrow will still come. Just qualifying was nice.”

She continued “There was not too much chat where I was participating in. I do not chat too much, because I multi-task while playing bingo.”

“I actually felt nothing at the moment of my winning Game 22. But when I found out, I was ecstatic! Let me explain…well remember I had mentioned above about the fact we were in the middle of a major snow storm and the electric was about to go out, well it DID! About 2 thirds of the way through the tourney…. :-(. So I called my Son via Cell Phone ASAP and asked him to hurry and get me back in the game, (where he still had electric). So about 15-20 minutes later, as I sit there in the dark disheartened and unhappy about losing my connection to the game, (after waiting months to play), the cell phone rang and it was my Son informing me that I had just won $1,000! At first I did not believe him and told him that it was rude to tease me. Well after he reassured me that I had won, I was thrilled!!!!! I was running around the house (in the Dark) yelling. My family came running thinking I had fallen or something….LOL.

“The Son that had gotten me back into the tourney lives in Wyoming with his girlfriend and they are moving back home in June. So I am going to use my winnings to buy a plane ticket to go out there to help them drive home and make a mini vacation of it. And of course I am sure I will invest a small amount of it back into Bingo Splash.. LOL”

“I think BE does a wonderful job at all that they do. Things always seem to run very smooth and if ever there is problem, they are right on top of it.”

“I most definitely feel Bingo Entertainment should continue to sponsor the BWC. This is the only place I play at and I have enjoyed very much being a part of BE. I would compete again.”

“I guess my only message to other players is; Keep your hopes up for next year. You will not regret it and if by chance you do not make it, remember that Bingo Entertainment offers very many ways to win! And you are ALL winners, one way or another! Good Luck, my friends!”

“Again, thank you so very much for the opportunity to be involved in your BWC!”

The final game, 23, was won by two players who shared $5000 prize money, and the title of Bingo World Champions 2007! Here’s what they had to say;

Squamish from British Colombia Canada admitted to being “Excited” and participated in “Quite a bit of chat”. She doesn’t keep a lucky mascot. And how did she feel when she saw she had won the last game, shared with another player? “Wow, could hardly believe it.” About her winnings squamish says “My winnings will pay for a trip to Manitou Lake, Sask Canada in May. It is a mineral lake with zero gravity water, and going there helps my arthritis.” Any message for other hopeful players who did not manage to qualify for the finals? Squamish says “KEEP TRYING!”

ORNURSE_bm from New Jersey United States This is how she describes her Bingo World Championship 2007 experience; “I have been excited about the Bingo Tournament since I qualified in December and the excitement only escalated. My daughter who is my Lucky Charm was with me the entire time that night, and she was as excited and rooting me on as I was.”

“Chat was flying that night, and it was good to see some familiar names and always good to cheer on fellow roomies to a win.”

“When my card turned to the winning color for the game 12, I sat there looking at, it but then reality hit that I won, and I started saying I won, I won!!!!! And everyone in chat was just as happy as I was.”

“And when I won the final game, 23, I was still on a high from the first win that it just topped my night to share the game with a fellow player.”

“I think I will use my winnings for a very nice and relaxing vacation. I am an Operating Room Nurse and a vacation seems in order.”

“I think Bingo Entertainment has done a wonderful job with the Tournament and should continue to sponsor it. I am looking forward to playing again for a qualifying seat.”

“I would like to take this time to thank everyone who made this Tournament possible and would encourage everyone who plays bingo online that you have to be in it to win it and I DID!!!!!!!!”
